Eyewear brand Zoff will Zoff selling "visible light photochromic lenses" that react to visible light as well as ultraviolet rays and change color even in the car during the day at Zoff stores nationwide from Friday, July 4, 2025.
 
Conventional photochromic lenses change color depending on the amount of UV rays, but the new visible light photochromic lenses react to visible light as well as UV rays, so they naturally change color according to brightness not only outdoors but also in a car during the day, reducing glare. They are particularly effective in situations where glare is easily felt, such as in a car during the day or next to a window, where UV rays are difficult to reach.

Since it is capable of "gradual color change according to the intensity of light," it is suitable for the following usage scenarios.
