2026/07/10
  • With the scorching sun and intense heat, it's the season when going out becomes a chore. What you crave in between strolling around town or shopping is a refreshing, cold drink, isn't it?

COREDO Muromachi offers a wide selection of refreshing cold drinks that are perfect for enjoying the summer! This time, we'll introduce five "summer companions" that will help you forget the heat, from "uRn.chAi&TeA" "ISHIYA NIHONBASHI," "Wang De Chuan," "HAPPY LEMON," and "IPPUKU & MATCHA." Grab your favorite drink and enjoy the summer in Nihonbashi even more!

  • uRn.chAi&TeA 's "Cinnamon Vanilla Ceylon Tea"

    fig

Cinnamon Vanilla Ceylon Tea (BAWA) Medium size: Eat-in 500 yen, Takeout 491 yen / Large size: Eat-in 550 yen, Takeout 540 yen (all prices include tax)
*Please note that the drink will actually be served in a paper cup.

The first cafe I'd like to introduce is "uRn.chAi&TeA uRn.chAi&TeA on the 2nd floor of COREDO Muromachi 3.

While their "Original Chai," a milk tea brewed with tea leaves and spices, is the most popular, on this day I chose the "Cinnamon Vanilla Ceylon Tea (BAWA)" from the various types of original teas available!

As the name "BAWA" suggests, named after the Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, this drink is based on Sri Lankan Ceylon tea and blended with vanilla and cinnamon.

The mellow astringency of the Candy tea leaves is complemented by the luxurious vanilla and the gentle aroma of fragrant cinnamon, resulting in a refreshing and delicious taste. It's a unique and profound flavor, an iced tea you can only enjoy here.

If you want to add sweetness, you can also add syrup!

Choose between "gum syrup," which won't overpower the flavor of the tea, and "beet sugar syrup," which offers a fragrant and rich taste.

  • ISHIYA NIHONBASHI's "Homemade Lemon Squash"

    fig

ISHIYA NIHONBASHI, a cafe located on the 1st floor of COREDO Muromachi Terrace, is operated by ISHIYA, the company famous for its "Shiroi Koibito" cookies. In addition to its standard regular menu, it is also known for its attractive seasonal limited-time menus, which have many fans eagerly awaiting their opening.

This summer, we're holding a "Lemon Fair" with a lemon theme, featuring lemon pancakes and parfaits, as well as sweet and sour lemon squash!

    fig

Homemade Lemon Squash 580 yen (tax included)

This lemon squash is made with homemade lemon compote and sparkling water for a refreshing drink. The lemon slices in the glass add a touch of freshness to the appearance! The lemon compote can be eaten with the peel on, and the balance of sweetness and slight bitterness is exquisite.

    fig

Homemade Lemon Squash Float: 880 yen (tax included)

Lemon squash is not too sweet and is perfect for hot days, but if you want something a little sweeter, we recommend the float style with soft serve ice cream on top!

The soft serve ice cream is "Shiroi Koibito Soft Serve Ice Cream (White)". It's a rich soft serve ice cream made with the chocolate from the famous "Shiroi Koibito" cookies, and it pairs perfectly with the refreshing lemon squash.

Takeout is also available, so it's perfect to enjoy while basking in the summer sun!

  • Wang De Chuan's "Alishan Oolong Tea"

    fig

Alishan Oolong Tea (Eat-in, includes daily special snack): 1,780 yen (tax included)

The iced oolong tea at "Wang De Chuan" on the 2nd floor of COREDO Muromachi Terrace looks just like beer, but of course, it doesn't contain any alcohol.

First, grind the tea leaves into a powder and brew it using a coffee machine. Tea contains a component called saponin, which naturally froths up when blended with ice.

It's the same principle as when you whisk matcha tea and it becomes frothy. By incorporating plenty of air in this way, the aroma is brought out even in ice cream.

The Alishan Oolong tea I had that day was free of any unpleasant aftertaste, with a refreshing and mild flavor similar to green tea, making it perfect for summer. I would also recommend it to those who are not used to drinking oolong tea.

    fig

To ensure that even regular customers can enjoy something new each day, we offer three different types of tea snacks for our eat-in customers.

On this day, we'll be offering three types of sweets: sesame dumplings, lemon kudzu mochi, and rakugan (a type of Japanese confectionery). Please enjoy the perfect pairing of tea and sweets.

Alishan Oolong Tea (Takeout) 980 yen (tax included)

And takeout orders are served in these adorable cups!

Made from a sturdy, thick material, and featuring a heart-shaped knob that doubles as a drinking cap, it's convenient for carrying around.

  • HAPPY LEMON's "Lemon Jasmine Tea Pearl"

    fig

Lemon Jasmine Tea Pearls, Medium Size: 750 yen (tax included)

From "HAPPY LEMON," a Taiwanese tea drink specialty shop on the 2nd floor of COREDO Muromachi Terrace, we introduce Lemon Jasmine Tea Pearls.

Based on our own fragrant and rich jasmine tea, this drink generously uses Taiwanese lemon juice. More than half a lemon's juice is squeezed into each cup, bringing out a refreshing acidity and rich citrus aroma.

The delicate, fragrant aroma of jasmine and the refreshing tartness unique to Taiwanese lemons are in perfect harmony. With each sip, the elegant tea flavor and citrus aroma spread, leaving a clean and refreshing aftertaste.

    fig

What's more, the drink contains plenty of Taiwanese konjac pearls!

While healthy, its chewy, bouncy texture adds a delightful accent, making it satisfying and enjoyable to drink. It's a truly satisfying beverage, perfect for the hot season!

  • IPPUKU & MATCHA's "Matcha Latte & Matcha Lemon"

    fig

IPPUKU & MATCHA, a specialty Uji matcha shop located on the first floor of Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower is always bustling with customers from both Japan and abroad.

This popular shop is committed to using the finest matcha produced in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, and offers single-origin matcha made from a single variety and single tea plantation, as well as original matcha drinks and matcha sweets.

    fig

Matcha Latte (Double) 950 yen (tax included)

One of their signature items is the "Matcha Latte." It combines high-quality Uji matcha, specially blended for drinks, with refreshing milk.

The matcha's strength can usually be chosen from three levels: double, triple, and double the usual amount. This time, I chose the double option, which is twice the normal strength of matcha.

Even the regular matcha latte is quite strong, but the double portion gives you a really intense matcha flavor. However, because they use high-quality Uji matcha blended specifically for drinks, the umami and aroma stand out more than the bitterness.

If you want more sweetness, add some beet sugar syrup. It's recommended because it will enhance both the sweetness and the richness!

    fig

Matcha Lemon: 790 yen (tax included)

The "Matcha Lemon," topped with a slice of lemon, is an original menu item from IPPUKU & MATCHA.

The combination of lemon and matcha may seem unfamiliar, but matcha actually pairs well with citrus fruits such as mandarins and yuzu.

Made with freshly squeezed lemon juice and the sweetness of brown sugar, this drink offers a refreshing taste perfect for a hot summer day, and is a must-try even for those new to matcha.
