For a limited time from Friday, August 1st to Sunday, November 2nd, the wooden parts of the K Chair will be available in Japanese wild cherry and water eye wood!
You can choose from 17 upholstery colors available through pattern orders.


Karimoku 60 brand is running a project to offer a limited edition K Chair made from domestic timber as part of its efforts to protect Japan's forests and contribute to the maintenance and development of the forestry industry.

Following on from the first release featuring cork and the second release featuring elm, zelkova, maple and chestnut, this time too you can enjoy new tree species that have the unique charm and individuality that only domestic timber can offer.


Yamazakura is a deciduous broadleaf tree of the Rosaceae family that has grown wild in Japan since ancient times.
Due to its beautiful grain, excellent durability, and ease of workability, it has long been highly regarded in Japan as a furniture material.

The wood grain is very dense and uniform, resulting in a smooth surface that feels pleasant to the touch.
The greatest appeal of Yamazakura is the way its texture deepens with age. The more you use it, the darker the color becomes and the more lustrous it becomes, so it's like "furniture that grows with you," and it takes on a unique history and character.


Mizume is a deciduous broadleaf tree of the Betulaceae family, Betulaceae, and is distributed throughout Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.
The difference in color between the heartwood and sapwood is clear, and when they are joined together they tend to form a white, red, and white striped pattern.
