SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

5/5 (Saturday, National Holiday) May 5th is Children's Day. Let's have some fun playing with clay.

Children's Day is a big hit and a big hit!

"May 5th is Children's Day. Let's have some fun playing with clay."

A Shops was held by a ceramic artist!

Turn the clay you normally play with into pottery!

We received many wonderful comments from the event, such as "Both parents and children were engrossed in it!", and we will be sharing some photos full of smiles from the event!

The instructor will be Mr. Ijuin from "Studio Ijuin Mariko", a certified "Hiratsuka Takumi no Mise" store.

Staff from Hiratsuka City Hall came to provide support.

Bright, easy to understand, fun and polite

The teacher teaching the children was wonderful.

Professor Ijuin is active mainly in the fields of pottery and tableware making.

The tableware is made with the idea of creating a stage for the cooked ingredients.

This time, I want the children to experience the joy of pottery using clay.

With this idea in mind, a Shops was organised by Hiratsuka City!

First, we will watch a demonstration by Professor Ijuin!

The teacher is quick and efficient, creating a variety of works in no time.

Her hands were so delicate and beautiful, I was mesmerized!

After the demonstration, we started playing with clay!

You can make whatever you like from the clay divided into squares.

The clay is pounded to make it flat, or rolled to create the shapes of the parts.

Use a toothbrush to apply water to the area you want to glue.

The key is to use a toothbrush to ZARA ZARA the adhesive surface. â

Once you have the shape of the part you want to make, the next step is to paint it.

You can freely color it using 6 colors of paint (pink, white, yellow, light blue, blue, and gray)♪

That's all there is to it for the tree house.

The firing process will be done in Professor Ijuin's workshop!

After applying the glaze, it is fired in a kiln for about half a day, and then dried in the sun for three days. Completed!

Although they haven't been baked yet, we'd like to show you some of your creations!

From trinket boxes and vases to cute owl figurines and even grand pianos!

There were so many fascinating works, and I could feel the richness of their creativity.

Finally, here is the finished product ♪

These were made by children who had participated in a previous trial class and were brought to us by Professor Ijuin.

I'm sure you will soon have some wonderful pieces in your hands.

Decorate your home with your handmade memories and have a wonderful day!

We hope you will also check out "Studio Ijuin Mariko," a certified "Hiratsuka Takumi no Mise" store that is hosting wonderful events!
