| Brand Concept | Born in the vast country of India with its diverse food culture, CURRY＆NAN DIYA EXPRESS' roots go back to a restaurant called "BAR-8-Q" that opened in Calcutta in 1958. Located on the Bay of Bengal in eastern India, Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) was the capital of India during the former British Empire and a trading hub visited by people from all over the world for pilgrimages and trade. Due to this geographical and historical background, the Indian cuisine of this region has changed to something new and diverse that was not found in traditional cuisine until now. We want everyone to enjoy this rich cuisine here at YOKOHAMA BAYSIDE, so at CURRY＆NAN DIYA EXPRESS, which is opening its first food court location, you can enjoy authentic Indian curry and chewy "freshly baked naan" baked right in front of you in a tandoor pot (Indian oven). The recommended curry is the delicious "Seafood Curry" made with brown mustard seeds, which go well with seafood. Our recommended menu items for children are "Tandoori Chicken Cutlet Curry" and "Fluffy Omelet Curry", which are marinated overnight in spices. We have Indian curries and freshly baked naan for takeout, as well as "Assorted Hors d'oeuvres" (some items require reservations) that include Indian snacks and grilled foods, perfect for home parties.
