What is the true identity of the man with the mohawk head relaxing flat on his back?

The bird relaxing here is a Guinea Turaco, with its distinctive crest on its head!

This species lives in the forests of Africa and is better at moving by hopping from branch to branch than by flying long distances.
Rather than spreading their wings wide, they use their strong legs and long tail feathers to move freely through the treetops, making them look like forest ninjas!

All members of the genus Turaco, including this Guinea Turaco, are specialized for arboreal life, moving quickly between branches and feeding on fruit and leaves.
It's not that they're "not good at flying," but rather that they can move freely in the trees so they don't need to fly.

At our shop, you can experience holding the Guinea Turacos on your hand and feeding them treats (200 yen per time).

When you see them up close, you can't help but be captivated by the beautiful colors of their feathers and the patterns around their eyes!

Please come and see the dynamic movements of the Turacos as they bounce through the trees, something that cannot be conveyed in photographs.

We look forward to your visit!
