The creature in the video is #Nami the capybara
It is also known in Japanese as the "Giant Guinea Mouse" and is said to be found in large numbers in the eastern part of South America!

Capybaras are actually semi-aquatic animals that move between land and water!
The scientific name of the capybara, #Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris, means "water pig" in Greek, and is said to have been named after its semi-aquatic lifestyle!

Capybaras are said to prefer to live near water such as rivers and swamps, and they even have impressive webbed feet between their toes!

Capybaras' fur is also characteristically hard and feels like a scrubbing brush, and each hair is very long!
Therefore, even if you get soaked in water, you can remove the water from your body just by shaking your body!

At our store, you can get up close and personal with these capybaras!

Be sure to give them treats (200 yen each time) and pet them to experience the addictive feel of their fur!

We look forward to your visit!
