"Machi Library" is a local library where people meet through books. Machi Library is a library where people meet and interact through books by placing books with message cards on bookshelves in cafes, Shops, hospitals, temples, offices, private homes, etc. Currently, there are about 370 Machi Library locations nationwide, each with its own unique bookshelves, where various events such as book lending, reading groups, and study sessions are held.

How the Town Library works Call for everyone to bring books Write a message on the books you bring! The next person who reads it writes their thoughts! Books are a great way to start a conversation! Bring books and create your own bookshelf! Events and social gatherings are held! Having town libraries all over town makes the town even more interesting! Books are a great way to create connections!

What is the "Everyone's Thought Card"? The "Everyone's Thought Card" contains information about the donor and their thoughts on the book. The next person who reads the book will add their thoughts, forming a community based on the book.

How to donate books? Please speak to a staff member in the space and fill out the owner information and message. Reception hours: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 10:00-18:00 Reception location: 3F SHONAN TREE HOUSE *Please note that we cannot accept your donation if the staff is not present.
