Kua'aina was founded in 1975 in Haleiwa, a small rural town on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
Local surfers rave about the restaurant, saying, "We drive 70 miles just to get one!", and it has since grown to have 3 locations in Hawaii, 2 in London, England, and 24 in Japan.
An authentic Hawaiian gourmet burger featuring a 100% premium beef patty grilled on a lava stone grill.
The most popular item is the "Avocado Cheeseburger," which uses plenty of ripe avocado and combines it with gooey cheese.
The seasoning comes from a secret spice blend passed down from the founder, Terry Thompson.
Hot sandwiches such as the "BLT sandwich" with crispy bacon, and fluffy Hawaiian pancakes are also popular.
