A shop specializing in Tenugui towels made using the Chusen dyeing method, a dyeing technique that originated in Osaka

Nijiyura is a shop specializing in chusen tenugui hand towels, run by Nakani, a dyeing factory that has been dyeing fabric in Sakai, Osaka for 50 years. Until now, the chusen dyeing technique, which involves pouring dye onto fabric, has been considered a flaw, but now features such as "bleeding" and "blurring" have been seen as beautiful, and the store has gained a reputation for its innovative designs and bright colors. The Nihonbashi store also carries Japanese goods such as tenugui, jinbei, and folding fans that incorporate modern designs. In addition to selling products, there is also a space for hands-on experience.
