March is here, and the season for welcoming and farewell parties is finally upon us! This time, we visited three popular restaurants in COREDO Muromachi: CRAFT BEER MARKET, Okiya Takumi, and Nihonbashi Kanifuku, and investigated their course menus. We will deliver you a taste report.
A must-see for event planners who are having trouble choosing a restaurant! -
[CRAFT BEER MARKET] All-you-can-drink craft beer from about 25 different types!
CRAFT BEER MARKET on the first floor of COREDO Muromachi 3 is a beer bar where a wide range of people, from beginners to enthusiasts, can enjoy craft beer casually. There are always 30 types of draft craft beer from all over Japan on tap, and you can enjoy them at reasonable prices.
Apparently many people drop in alone after work, and the casual atmosphere of an izakaya-style restaurant is also appealing.Easy and enjoyable! Course: 5,000 yen per person (tax included) *The photo shows a 3-person portion *Orders are accepted for 3 or more people. *The menu may change depending on the season and the availability of ingredients.
The "Easy and Fun! Course" that I had this time was, as the name suggests, a reasonable course that cost just 5,000 yen (tax included) and included a hearty meal and all-you-can-drink option, including craft beer.
The menu consists of six dishes: seasonal ohitashi, meat tofu, crispy salad, french fries, fresh fish carpaccio, and chicken nanban. All of them are excellent snacks!
CRAFT BEER MARKET at COREDO Muromachi offers a wide variety of dishes with dashi stock, such as seasonal ohitashi (boiled vegetable salad), that are perfect for pairing Japanese cuisine with craft beer. This meat tofu dish with dashi stock is a popular lunch menu item, the "pork dish," available for dinner. The rich flavor and the generous amount of tofu make this a very satisfying dish!
The carpaccio, made with fresh fish, is finished with a Japanese flavor using sesame oil and other ingredients in the dressing.
The most popular dish is the chicken nanban. The tartar sauce, made with pickled eggplants, is a popular snack on its own. It is a deep-fried dish with a crunchy batter, but the pickled eggplants make it refreshing to enjoy.
Drinks include 30 types of draft craft beer, of which about 25 are available for all-you-can-drink! In addition, there is a lineup that will satisfy everyone at large parties, including highballs, chuhai, cocktails, fruit liquor, shochu, wine, and soft drinks.
It's fun to try many different types of craft beer with their own unique characteristics, but the price can be a concern. With CRAFT BEER MARKET 's all-you-can-drink option, you can enjoy comparing craft beers to your heart's content. There is also a lineup of fruit ales that are easy to drink even for those who don't like beer, and on average people order 4 to 5 beers, with some even ordering more than 10!CRAFT BEER MARKET can accommodate up to 45 people, including standing, and can also be rented out for private use. It's a great place to come and have fun with people of all ages!

[Okiya Takumi] Perfect in taste, volume and appearance!
Okiya is a long-established monjayaki restaurant with its main store in Nippori. The teppanyaki that was offered as a secret menu item eventually gained a reputation, and now it is a restaurant where you can enjoy a course meal, which is rare for a monjayaki restaurant.
Okiya Takumi, located on the 2nd floor of COREDO Muromachi 2, is a restaurant that is often featured in the media and is difficult to book due to not only the deliciousness of its food but also its striking appearance. This restaurant is opening its first store in a commercial facility.Okiya Course: 6,300 yen per person (tax included) *The photo shows a 4-person portion *Orders are accepted for 4 or more people. *The menu may change depending on the season and the availability of ingredients.
This time, we had the "Okiya Course" which includes all of Okiya's signature dishes. Just take a look at this overwhelming volume. For 6,300 yen (tax included) per person, you can enjoy the best of Okiya!
You can also add a 90-minute all-you-can-drink plan for an additional 2,500 yen (tax included). Most of the standard drinks are covered, so if you plan to drink four or more drinks per person, the all-you-can-drink plan is a good deal.
The first of the seven dishes is the "Seared Bonito Covered in Green Onions." Topped with plenty of green onions and onions tossed with seasonings and drizzled with homemade ponzu sauce, the refreshing taste will whet your appetite.Next up was an incredibly large piece of meat, the "Ayers Rock of Meat" LIBRO Steak. The size varies depending on the number of people, but for four people it weighs about 700g! You'll rarely see a steak like this anywhere else.
We use aged Australian beef rib LIBRO, which has a good balance of lean and fatty meat. Even when thoroughly grilled on both sides, the inside remains rare, and the flavor is tightly locked in. Savor the pleasure of eating meat to the fullest! The third dish is the "Grilled Seafood Platter." Large scallops, shrimp, and green onions are grilled with butter and soy sauce until fragrant.
The seafood is plump, and the spring onions that have absorbed the seafood's flavor are superb! Even people who don't like spring onions say they're delicious. Although it's a palate cleanser, it's quite filling and filling. The fourth dish is "Okiya Minced Meat Cutlet." A huge minced meat cutlet fried in the kitchen is placed on a baking sheet, surrounded by shredded cabbage, and then cut. A huge amount of meat juice overflows from the inside, and when combined with the cabbage, it is irresistibly delicious.
It's so hot and juicy that your mouth will be filled with juice, but it's not at all oily. There are two types of monjayaki to finish off the meal: the "creative monjayaki" (beef tendon monjayaki on this day) which changes daily, and the "original Oki monjayaki" which has a traditional sauce flavor, both served in the traditional Asakusa monjayaki style without the need for a bank.
The ingredients of the "Original Ooki Monja" are 11 kinds: cabbage, soba, fried tempura bits, fish sausage, chikuwa, beef, pickled ginger, small shrimp, squid tentacles, sliced squid, and green laver. It has a deep flavor. You can enjoy different tastes and textures with each bite depending on the place.
Finally, finish off with a sweet palate cleanser! The overwhelming volume of the dish is so impressive that even the staff boast that they have never heard anyone say that it wasn't enough, so this is sure to be a memorable welcome or farewell party.
For those who want to enjoy a lighter meal, we also offer a "Petit Course." It costs 4,500 yen (tax included) per person and can be ordered for two or more people. There are a total of 48 seats, and groups of up to 36 people can be accommodated at one time. Semi-private rooms are also available, so it is recommended for those who want to relax in a private space.

[Nihonbashi Kanifuku] The "Crab Course" conveys the spirit of hospitality
The third restaurant we visited was Nihonbashi Kanifuku on the third floor of COREDO Muromachi 1. This crab specialty restaurant makes full use of the know-how they have cultivated over the years, from purchasing crabs to cooking them.
Crab Shabu-Shabu Kaiseki Course: 10,000 yen per person (tax included) *The photo shows one portion *Orders are accepted from one person. *The menu may change depending on the season and the availability of ingredients.
This time, the recommended course for the welcome/farewell party was the "Crab Shabu-Shabu Kaiseki," a luxurious crab-only course in which crab is used in all dishes except for the sweets.
In addition, you can get two hours of all-you-can-drink for an additional 1,500 yen (tax included) per person. It's a prestigious restaurant, but the price is quite reasonable for all-you-can-drink. The menu is extensive, with a choice of Premium Malt's beer, Kaku or Jim Beam whiskey, wine, chuhai, fruit liquor, and even seasonal recommended sake.
The crab shabu-shabu course meal starts with an appetizer made with seasonal vegetables and cooked in a way that suits the season, followed by a platter of three appetizers. Not only can you enjoy the diverse flavors of crab, but the beautiful presentation is also appealing.Next, we were served a sashimi platter of snow crab and king crab. The snow crab on the left of the photo has a moist texture and a strong flavor, while the king crab on the right has a sweet taste that is unique to crab.
Now it's time for the main course, snow crab shabu-shabu! Dip the crab legs in the special soup stock, and when the meat is firm, dip it in the homemade ponzu sauce to eat. The bouncy texture and the irresistible deliciousness are irresistible. The vegetables that have absorbed the crab's flavor are also a great treat.
After finishing the hot pot, you can order rice porridge to make the most of the remaining broth (an extra 300 yen (tax included) per person). It seems that most people order this during the cold season. After the hot pot, chawanmushi made with plenty of crab broth is served, followed by the long-awaited specialty "Gokanimeshi" (crab rice)!
The crab rice is an original dish from Nihonbashi Kanifuku that can be enjoyed in three different ways, similar to Hitsumabushi. First, serve it in a bowl and pour hot soup over it, then enjoy the original taste of the crab rice without the soup, and finally top with condiments and enjoy it with the soup.
The satisfying course ends with sweet treats such as warabi mochi and kuzu manju. If you're full by this point, you can take some crab rice home as a souvenir. The restaurant has 28 seats and can be rented out for private use for groups of 20 or more.
Because it's a small restaurant, reservations tend to fill up quickly, so be sure to make your reservation early!
