Located in a corner of Eslite Spectrum Nihonbashi on the 2nd floor of COREDO Muromachi Terrace, Wang De Chuan is a Taiwanese tea specialty store with roots in a tea house that opened in Tainan, Taiwan in 1862. All of the carefully selected teas are from specialized production areas, and are produced with a focus on bringing out the sweet flavor unique to each area.

At Wang De Chuan, the only one of its kind in Japan, at COREDO Muromachi Terrace, you can casually enjoy authentic Taiwanese tea carefully brewed by a tea master.

When you sit down, a sample set containing the tea leaves to be enjoyed that day is brought out, and you take turns smelling the underside of the lid and choosing your favorite tea leaves. This time, from the lineup of eight types, I chose "Honey Black Tea" which has a sweet honey-like scent!

First, the teapot is warmed thoroughly before the tea leaves are added and hot water is poured into it. When the lid is closed, the overflowing tea is applied to the kyusu with a brush, which at first ZARA ZARA increases the luster of the kyusu and gives it a vintage look. Please pay attention to the luster of the kyusu as you brew tea.

If the tea leaves do not open easily in the kyusu, pour hot water over the top of the kyusu to warm it, and when the taste and aroma are released, transfer the tea to the katakuchi "chakai" and you are done.

Wang Dechuan's Honey Black Tea is made with tea leaves from the Sanxia variety in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The fermentation and roasting process is meticulously done to create a delicate taste. The sweet aroma of honey and sugarcane and the rich, smooth, sweet taste are irresistible.

Once you have finished your tea, you can pour hot water into the teapot again for another cup. Enjoy a relaxing tea time.

This tea, named after the store, makes full use of the chai-making know-how that uRn.chAi & TeA has honed over the years. It is an original blend of spices and black tea, blended to bring out the aroma of each other.

It's delicious either as is or mixed with milk, so we recommend trying it straight at first, then drinking it with the tea bag in it, and when it starts to get too strong, adding milk to change up the flavor!

The spice tea "uRn." was developed as a tea bag that can be enjoyed at home, but it will be available in the cafe in the store for a limited time until Friday, February 28, 2025! Two types are available: straight tea and tea latte (milk tea).
