I often go to the cinema after work too.

"So how about the three of us go see a movie at COREDO this time?"

A trio of employees at COREDO Muromachi (who are huge potato lovers!) dropped by TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi on the second floor of COREDO Muromachi 2 after work. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the theater in 2024, and we'll report on seven points to help you enjoy TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi to the fullest, including the theater's Kodawariya charms, as well as some useful information you'll want to know!

[POINT 1] A relaxing and calm atmosphere

TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi is the first cinema complex in the Nihonbashi area, which had its grand opening on Thursday, March 20, 2014, the same day as the opening of COREDO Muromachi. Due to its location in Nihonbashi, it has a large adult clientele, and is characterized by a luxurious and relaxed atmosphere.

Since it's close to Tokyo Station, the number of foreign tourists is increasing. Another plus point is that you can get there without getting wet from the subway station.

Although times may vary depending on the screening program, on weekdays the theater opens at 9am and the last screening starts at 10pm, so you can enjoy a leisurely visit even after work.

The lobby is spacious and luxurious.

The carpet covering the entire room has the same pattern as the carpet in the hallway of the hotel where the movie "The Shining" was set!

From the lobby windows you can see an open view of Fukutoku Shrine and other sights.

The extraordinary atmosphere makes you excited even before watching the movie.

It's helpful that it's easy to stop by on the way home from work.

[POINT 2] Films that will satisfy adult curiosity

TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi mainly screens foreign films aimed at adult customers, but also screens a wide range of popular Japanese films and anime.

One of the most distinctive features is that it screens "National Theatre Live (NTLive)," which allows you to watch ballet, opera, theater, and other stage productions at the cinema. National Theatre Live is a project in which masterpieces carefully selected by the UK's National Theatre are filmed with specialized camerawork and screened at cinemas around the world. TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi has a total of 9 screens. Two of them, SCREEN 7 and SCREEN 8, are larger than normal screens, and TOHO CINEMAS proprietary standard "TCX (TOHO CINEMAS EXTRA LARGE SCREEN)" has been introduced.

Its size is so large that it can fit an entire life-size sperm whale. With a screen that extends from wall to wall, you can immerse yourself in powerful images with a screen size that is about 120% larger than a screen with the same number of seats.

In addition to TCX, SCREEN 8 also uses the surround sound technology "DOLBY ATMOS." The sound moves freely in all directions in sync with the images, making you feel as if you've entered a scene from a movie. Many customers come just to experience this sound.

[POINT 4] Seats that let you relax and concentrate on the movie

TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi has 9 screens and 1,770 seats. There is ample space between the seats, so you can watch movies in a stadium-style setting without having to worry about the people in front of you.

Each seat is equipped with a cup holder, and can hold drinks purchased from the concession stand or a special tray.

A special tray can be attached to the cup holder in your seat.

In addition, 55 seats across 3 screens are premium box seats, which can be used for an additional 1,000 yen on top of the admission fee. These seats are 1.5 times larger than conventional seats, and are completely different from normal seats in terms of comfort.

The leather seats, which are also used by airlines overseas, gently wrap around your body, reducing fatigue and stress even during long viewing sessions. There is space to place your luggage on the left side, an armrest with a drink holder on the right side, and each seat is separated to create a semi-private space. You can immerse yourself in the movie in a relaxed state, just like at home.

[POINT 5] Enjoy alcohol too! Extensive food menu

TOHO CINEMAS Nihonbashi is located in a place where many customers come by Train, so they also have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. The beer is "The Premium Malt's Master's Dream" and the wine is "Tomi no Oka", which are carefully selected brands that set them apart from other movie theaters.

You can choose from red and white wine.

The food menu includes popcorn, hot dogs, chicken, etc. For sweets, churritos are popular and are also available in cinnamon sugar, chocolate cream, and rainbow flavors.

When it comes to drinks, "Cokemix" is the most popular among women. You can mix and match four flavors exclusive to TOHO CINEMAS with 10 base drinks to create your own unique drink, just like a cocktail.
