A picnic in the middle of the city!

2023/08/15
  • COREDO Muromachi is filled with open spaces where you can feel nature in the neighborhood, such as Fukutoku Garden and the large roofed plaza of COREDO Muromachi Terrace. It's the perfect place to take a short break and refresh yourself with some delicious food.

This time, we will introduce "one-handed foods" that can be easily enjoyed outdoors. Why not enjoy a picnic atmosphere in the middle of the city?

  • It's fun to choose! Homemade sandwiches from the butcher

    info

    Picnic means sandwiches!

At "Handmade Ham Factory Leckerbissen," you can enjoy homemade sandwiches made with the butcher's special care.

    info

"Handmade Ham Factory Leckerbissen" has a workshop at its main store in Meguro. They are particular about using handmade methods that minimize the use of seasonings and additives. In addition to the fresh ham and sausages delivered from the main store, the deli and sandwiches cooked in the store are also excellent.

    info

A board with a weekly sandwich menu. Orange is fixed, yellow is monthly, green is odd-numbered months only, and blue is daily. *The image shows the menu as of July.

You can choose from 12 different sandwiches every day, ranging from butcher-style dishes like "roast chicken" and "salami" to more unique dishes like "japchae" and "caponata."

    info

Roast beef sandwich: 600 yen (tax included) A generous amount of finely chopped roast beef.

This time, I chose the most popular "Roast Beef Sandwich." The roast beef, freshly baked in the oven in the store, is moist and tender, and when combined with the soy sauce-based Japanese-style sauce, it's juicy.

The roast beef used is lean, so it's light and tasty. It's sandwiched between soft bread and crunchy lettuce, so you can enjoy the texture as well.

Because it's a popular menu item, it often sells out in the evening, so try to get there a little early during lunch time.

The most attractive feature of Canelé de CHIANTI's canelés is the variety of flavors. All 18 flavors, completely different in appearance and taste, are original flavors created by Chef Kawamata. Some of the flavors, such as "coconut" and "saikyo miso," are unique flavors you've never seen before in a canelé!

    info

The eye-catching display at the entrance features 18 varieties of canelés lined up like artwork in a museum.

The menu item that is said to be the most delicious way to enjoy these canelés is the "Canuccino." It is a visually appealing drink that consists of a cappuccino topped with a classic plain canelé.

    info

Canuccino 1,000 yen (tax included) You can choose from coffee, black tea, or jasmine tea.

First, take a bite of the canelé. The dough is left to ripen at low temperature for over two days, then slowly baked for two hours, resulting in a chewy and moist texture!

    info

The fluffy milk foam makes the canelé's sweetness even more mellow and rich. It also pairs perfectly with the bitter coffee.

It is served in a takeaway cup from the start, making it perfect for eating on the go. This evolved sweet, a cross between a canelé and a cappuccino, has a very elegant and sophisticated taste.
