At the book agency, you can borrow and return books reserved at Yokohama City Library. In addition, you can read books on the spot or choose and borrow books you like.
"Tsuduki no Honbako" is a place where you can sit and read picture books with your children, an exhibition of books selected by the librarians of Tsuzuki Library and Midori Library on a monthly theme, and events such as picture book readings, making it a fun and exciting place for both children and adults. In addition to a wide selection of picture books and other children's books, there are also books for adults such as novels and books useful for raising children and daily life, so please enjoy "encountering new books."

You can also just use the library to read books.
You need a Yokohama City Library card to borrow books.
(Available at all city libraries, one card issued per person).
Each person can borrow up to 10 books across all libraries for a period of two weeks (14 opening days).

If you get a library card, you can borrow and return books, reserve books, and use e-books.

① Make a library card.
You can create a "digital library card" online (approximately three days after application).
If you need a plastic library card, you can get one at your city library or mobile library (not at book distributors).

② Make a reservation on the Yokohama City Library Book Search Page.
To make a reservation, you will need to register a password and email address.
Reservations cannot be made at the library agency.

If you apply for a "Yokohama City Library Wide-area Card" at Yokohama City Library, you will be able to borrow and return books.
Book reservations and e-books cannot be used.
