A traveling exhibition of "Bags as Tools Made by Matsunoya," a general goods wholesaler with 80 years of history, is being held at Karimoku 60 LaLaport Toyosu store from July 24th (Friday).

Matsunoya is a general goods wholesaler founded in 1945 in Bakurocho, Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
"Arakamono" refers to everyday items such as brooms, dustpans, and sieves—sturdy and simply made items primarily from natural materials. These tools, once found in every home, possess both a no-nonsense, robust design and a functional beauty that reflects the ingenuity of their users. As the number of artisans has decreased with the changing times, Matsunoya believes that "providing stable demand to artisans will lead to the continuation of their skills," and has continued to develop original products that fit into modern life together with craftsmen.

Utilizing the "eye for discerning tools" cultivated through many years in the wholesale business, he personally creates the "bags as tools" that we are introducing today.
