Toyosu Bay City Clinic's Department of Otolaryngology will begin initial sublingual immunotherapy (Shidacure) treatments for the 2026 fiscal year on Monday, June 1, 2026. Consultations regarding initial sublingual immunotherapy (Shidacure) treatments are currently being accepted.

■ What is sublingual immunotherapy?
This treatment aims to alleviate allergy symptoms by introducing small amounts of the allergen (cedar pollen) into the body over a long period of time. It is a simple treatment that involves placing the medication under the tongue and holding it there for a few minutes once a day, and it is usually recommended to continue it for 3 to 5 years.

■Those who are eligible
People diagnosed with cedar pollen allergy
・For those aged 5 and over
・Those who can attend regular medical appointments and take medication.

■The process leading up to starting treatment
① Consultation (First visit) - No appointment necessary
Please consult with the clinic director first. No appointment is necessary for your initial consultation. Please come directly to the clinic during our operating hours.
② Blood test
A blood test is required to confirm your allergy to cedar pollen, which is the target of treatment.
If you have test results from another hospital, please bring them with you.
For those who have not yet had a test → We will perform a blood test at our clinic.
③ Booking your first treatment
Appointments are required for the initial treatment. You can schedule an appointment at the clinic during your consultation or by phone at a later date.

■ Information regarding reservations
Treatment can only be initiated on the days the clinic director is on duty.
We will schedule your next appointment for one week after your initial appointment.
- New subscriptions cannot be started during the cedar pollen season (January to May).
