The birch forest that grows in clusters near Grand SEIKO Studio Shizukuishi, Grand SEIKO 's manufacturing base for mechanical watches, is expressed through a dynamic stamped pattern and a silvery-white dial.
The movement it is equipped with is the mechanical high-beat "Caliber 9SA5".
This Grand SEIKO-exclusive automatic mechanical caliber achieves a high beat rate of 36,000 vibrations per hour while maintaining a power reserve of approximately 80 hours when fully wound, thanks to its innovative dual-impulse escapement and twin-barrel structure.
The case and bracelet are made of Everbrilliant Steel, which shines whiter than regular stainless steel and has extremely high corrosion resistance.
The dial depicts a magnificent birch forest, imbued with the crisp, clear air of the highlands.
Iwate Prefecture, the same prefecture as the Grand SEIKO Studio Shizukuishi, is home to one of Japan's largest birch forests.
Birch trees grow very quickly and are sun-loving trees with strong vitality. The way they extend their white trunks straight towards the sun evokes a sense of strength and resilience in addition to their beauty.
Inspired by the way birch trees spread out in seemingly endless clusters, we developed a "birch pattern" that evokes a sense of the depth of the forest. The silvery-white dial harmonizes dynamically with the powerful, high-beat blue steel second hand.
