This model is a modern interpretation of the "62GS," the first automatic mechanical watch in Grand SEIKO history, released in 1967, and incorporates the unique seasonal changes of Japan into its dial design.
The dial of this model depicts a scene of cherry blossoms covered in snow.
This rare phenomenon, known as "Sakura Kakushi" (cherry blossom hiding), where cherry blossoms and snow coexist, is a beautiful sight seen at the beginning of spring in the Tohoku region, where the Grand SEIKO Studio Shizukuishi, the manufacturer of Grand SEIKO 's mechanical watches, is located.
The movement is equipped with the high-beat "Caliber 9S85" movement, which vibrates 10 times per second, reducing variations in accuracy and achieving more stable and high precision.
In addition to its 38mm case diameter, the case and bracelet are made of bright titanium, which is more scratch-resistant and has a beautiful white finish than regular titanium, creating a comfortable wearing experience.

"Sakura-kakushi" is a seasonal word for spring, referring to snow falling around the time cherry blossoms bloom.
Inspired by the beautiful and rarely seen sight of snow falling on cherry blossom petals, we recreated this scene on the dial using delicate stamped patterns and a soft, grayish pink color.
Its appearance changes depending on the angle and lighting, adding a touch of elegance to the moment you glance at your watch.
The Caliber 9S85 is a mechanical movement that re-examines the materials used for the parts essential to precision, achieving the torque necessary for high-speed oscillations and a practical power reserve of approximately 55 hours when fully wound.
