2F フロアガイド・MAP
Born in Asakusa, Kaneko Hannosuke loved the downtown area more than anyone else, and he loved Japanese food more than anyone else, saying that Japanese culture is in food. He was also a leading figure in the Japanese food world, and he always said that "people and food" are inseparable cultures.
Shinya Kaneko, the grandson of Kaneko Hannosuke, received a recipe book from his grandfather when he was young. Inside the book was a recipe for the closely guarded "secret Edomae donburi sauce," and after much trial and error to find the right ingredients to go with the sauce, he finally created a bowl of tempura rice bowl.
