happy birthday!!
Share
The 1st of this month is the 2nd birthday of Hakuran, the White-cheeked Turaco!!
To celebrate its birthday, we'd like to introduce you to the White-cheeked Turaco!
The White-cheeked Turaco is a bright green bird that lives in the highlands of East Africa, and its name comes from the fact that the bluish-black crest on its head and the white markings on its cheeks resemble an eboshi (a type of Japanese hat).
They mainly inhabit forests at altitudes of 2,000m to 3,000m in northeastern Africa, including the Ethiopian highlands, Eritrea, and South Sudan. In the wild, they primarily feed on fruits and insects!
At our shop, you can give treats to the turacos (200 yen per treat)!
They absolutely love snacks, so they'll become friends with you right away!
We look forward to your visit!
*Please note that we may suspend interaction with the animals depending on their health condition.
