They're napping together peacefully!

Sleeping peacefully together are the six-banded armadillos "Purin" and "Maud"!

In the video, the one sleeping with his face covered by his hands and his tongue sticking out is "Mode," and the one sleeping on the right with her belly exposed is "Purin"!

Actually, if you put these children's names together, it spells out "Pudding à la Mode."

The word "armadillo" comes from the Spanish word meaning "little thing in armor," and its shell is made up of many tile-like, keratinous plates!

Although the structure of their shells is completely different from that of turtles, both turtle and armadillo shells serve a similar purpose in protecting themselves from predators!

And this hard shell is called a scaly carapace, and it has the characteristic of being soft when the animal is young and becoming harder as it grows!

At our shop, you can pet the backs of these six-banded armadillos and see their adorable sleeping faces!
You can sometimes see them moving around actively in the evening, so be sure to go and see their adorable appearance!!

We look forward to your visit!
