■The conventional "Super Hard Coat" is a four-layer coating consisting of a hard coat, an anti-reflective coat, an anti-static coat, and a super water-repellent coat, which is densely packed with no gaps to achieve a coating as hard as glass.
Thanks to this special coating, the lenses boast scratch resistance that is three times greater than that of regular lenses* and water repellency that is twice as great. They also have excellent waterproof properties that make it easy to wipe off moisture, fingerprints, and other stains. This popular coating has seen cumulative sales of over 4.7 million lenses.

The "Premium Hard Coat" is an extension of the conventional "Super Hard Coat" and is equipped with a 360° UV cut function that blocks approximately 99% of UV rays and also blocks 95% of UV rays on the back of the lens.
"Premium Hard Coat" is a lens coating that is ideal for protecting against UV rays in the autumn, when sunlight comes at an angle more frequently.
