SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

1/12 (Sat) Homemade bread making class Boar bread

This wild boar bread is made by adapting a frying pan bread recipe from the Home Bread Master recipes.
This bread is made by wrapping chocolate in dough kneaded with chocolate, baking it, and finishing it with a chocolate pen, making it a must-have for chocolate lovers.
We would like to give you a brief glimpse into the event.

The instructor was Ms. Miki Ota, who is active as a home bread master.
Shonan Tree House regularly holds events, so if you're interested in bread making, we're looking forward to seeing you there!

First, you will watch a demonstration by the instructor.
The students skillfully shaped and cut the dough, which had been left to ferment in advance.
The participants were taking notes and listening intently.

Once the demo is complete, each piece of dough will be shaped.
The dough is small, so even small children can easily enjoy shaping it.

Once shaped, place in a frying pan and cook for 6 minutes on each side.
They were lined up with a small gap between each other.

While the dough is baking, prepare the dough to take home.
The instructor will give a lecture on the amount of yeast and tips on how to mix the dough.

Knead the dough vigorously.
I recommend standing up like everyone else and kneading it as it makes it easier to apply force!

While I was busy making the dough, the bread I had just shaped was baked.
The sweet aroma of chocolate wafts through the air...!

If it's still hot the chocolate will melt, so let it cool a little.

Once it has cooled down a little, use cookies, almonds and a chocolate pen to create a boar's face.
The cookie is for the nose, the almonds for the fangs, and the chocolate pen is used to create the expressions.

Finally, the long-awaited tasting time comes!
We enjoyed tasting some freshly baked wild boar bread along with some juice!
Both children and adults enjoyed the food very much.
Try making your own bread at home using the dough we made to take home!

Homemade bread that even those with no prior experience can easily participate in
Whether you are a first timer or a repeater, we look forward to seeing you at our next home baking class!
