[New design available] Farmers' MONPE Dyed Striped Seersucker Navy

A new pattern, "Chūsen Shima Shijira," has been added to the Kurume Kasuri Farmers' MONPE collection.
This pair of trousers boasts a smooth texture created by the unique uneven surface of shijira weave, and a charming striped pattern resulting from the richly textured yarn dyed using the chusen dyeing method.
This fabric was created after I visited Shimokawa Textiles and was shown some past fabric samples. I thought, "I definitely want to introduce this as MONPE," and requested that they reproduce it, which was then realized. Although it is a plain weave, the rich crinkled texture unique to shijira weave gives it a soft feel, making it comfortable to wear from early spring to summer. The beige threads dyed using the chusen method add a gentle touch to the navy-based striped pattern.
Featuring soft stripes created by the traditional dyeing technique and the rich texture unique to shijira weaving, this fabric showcases a new charm of Kurume Kasuri, and has been crafted into our classic MONPE pants. The fabric itself is lightweight and highly breathable, making these pants comfortable to wear even in warmer weather.
