Kids What is a flea market?
Kids A flea market is a hands-on educational event where children can learn how to handle money and various other things necessary in today's society through selling and buying things, with only children allowed to sell and buy. The flea market, which is off-limits to adults, provides a place where children can think independently, communicate with each other, and sell and buy things. Supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Financial Services Agency, the event has now been held more than 1,000 times throughout Japan, with more than 230,000 children participating.
