The NHL (National Hockey League), one of the four major American sports, is featured in THE CAP with FURLA 32 teams. The NHL's origins date back to 1917, following numerous disputes within the predecessor, the National Hockey Association of Canada. The central focus of this dispute was Eddie Livingston, owner of the Toronto Blueshirts. Since its expansion in 1967, the league has expanded, primarily in North America, to 32 teams, with 25 in the United States and 7 in Canada. Following its golden age in the 1980s, led by Wayne Gretzky, attendance continues to grow. Ice hockey's popularity has spread to warmer climates, with new teams added in Las Vegas in 2017 and Seattle in 2021. It continues to grow and attract more fans. While the sport is relatively unfamiliar in modern Japan, many Japanese have traced its roots back to the 2000s and beyond, recreating 1980s and 1990s fashion through the secondary circulation of game shirts, sweatshirts, and other secondhand items. THE CAP account is the only one in Japan that carries all the teams, so come and enjoy the epic scale in store.
