October 30th is Food Waste Reduction Day!
Dates: From October 30, 2026 (Friday) until each store runs out of containers.

Starting October 30th (Friday), Kanagawa Prefecture will launch a program to reduce food waste, encouraging people to take home leftovers from eating out (mottECO*).
*This is the nickname for the initiative advocated by the Ministry of the Environment, which encourages customers to take home leftover food from restaurants at their own risk.

During the campaign period, if you have any leftovers at participating stores, simply speak to a staff member and you will receive a free Kanagawa Prefecture original take-out container.
Please take what you need at your own risk, following the instructions of our staff and the information on the flyers we provide!
