April's First Gold Leaf Application Experience: "Applying Gold Leaf to Wood"
Gold leaf is an indispensable material for Buddhist statues, altars, and various traditional crafts and works of art.
We will be holding a fun workshop at the gold leaf specialty store "HAKUZA NIHONBASHI" where you can learn about the process of creating gold leaf that is so thin and flexible that you can see through it.
The material for this project is "wood."
After learning about gold leaf, we will lecture on how to use the tools and the necessary processing methods for applying gold leaf to wood, and you will then have the opportunity to experience gold leaf application firsthand.
This is recommended for those interested in gold leaf, or those who want to create their own works using gold leaf.
Even if you've never touched gold leaf before, you can participate with confidence, so please feel free to join us.
