By striving to realize a sustainable society, we hope to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
CO2 reduction/light down

As part of our efforts to prevent global warming, we are implementing an initiative to turn off some of the indoor and outdoor lights at facilities nationwide for two days, on the summer solstice and Tanabata (Cool Earth Day).

With the aim of revitalizing the local area, we are working to collaborate with tourist facilities, accommodation facilities, etc. in the surrounding area.
Collection of unused down

Please bring any unwanted feather products between October 1st (Tuesday) and December 1st (Sunday), 2024, and drop them off in the collection boxes installed in the building. The feather products you bring will be washed, refined, and processed through the Green Down Project's activities, and will be reborn as new feather products as recycled feathers.

We provide a relaxing, environmentally friendly shopping space with features such as wall greenery and the use of recycled wood.

We have installed "mamaro®," fully private baby care rooms where you can enjoy privacy even between shopping trips and provide comfortable baby care such as breastfeeding, solid food, and diaper changes.

We aim to create an environment where staff working at our facilities can receive priority admission to our daycare centers, improving work-LIFE balance and securing human resources, allowing employees to work long-term with peace of mind while raising children.

Reducing the environmental impact

Because the water used to remove wax from floors has a negative impact on the environment, we are working to reduce the use of wax by applying a glass coating.

We have begun using green electricity plans in the common areas of MITSUI OUTLET PARK KISARAZU and TAMA MINAMI OSAWA. We plan to expand this to all our facilities nationwide in the future.

We will hold Shops, events, and art exhibitions at designated locations. We aim to create a place where local people can use it as a place to send out information, create products, and interact, and where connections can be made that transcend boundaries.
DBJ Green Building Certification

Osaka Kadoma / MARINE PIA KOBE
The building received the highest rating of 5 stars in the DBJ Green Building Certification, which evaluates the building's environmental and social considerations.
"DBJ Green Building Certification" is a system that certifies "real estate that takes the environment and society into consideration."
This system is run by the Development Bank of Japan and the Japan Real Estate Institute, and provides a five-level certification system ranging from ★1 to ★5.
Initiatives to reduce environmental impact
[COOL distribution board]
Osaka Kadoma

The "COOL distribution board," a heat-resistant distribution board that uses "radiative cooling material," has been adopted for the first time in the country. This product is expected to suppress deterioration and failure of equipment inside the board due to heat, contributing to the reliability and long life of the distribution board.

As a measure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we have installed "EmizuShower," a device that sprays mist onto outdoor air conditioner units and chillers. The transpiration caused by spraying the mist reduces the air conditioning load and leads to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

We are working with six sports teams in Toyama Prefecture to liven up the Hokuriku region through sports. We are also implementing various measures to support the creation of fans of sports in general.

"Meets GEIBUN"

In collaboration with the Faculty of Art and Design at Toyama University, we have opened "Meets GEIBUN," an art and design community space that will host design Shops and a gallery. Our goal is to create attractive spaces in the local area and stimulate cultural creation from the perspective of art and design.

We have introduced "OiTr," Services provided by Oiteru Co., Ltd. that provides sanitary napkins free of charge in private toilets in commercial facilities, offices, schools, public facilities, etc.
Save the Ocean

As a representative facility of Yokohama Bayside Marina area, we are committed to environmental protection activities, focusing on marine environment conservation. We hold "Eco Week" once a year, which is a period for strengthening the Save the Ocean project, and carry out various "eco" activities in cooperation with stores and local partners.
Installation of "Chabacco"
IRUMA
Sayama tea, a local specialty, is sold in cigarette-like packages in discarded cigarette vending machines as "Chabacco." An unveiling ceremony was held by the city hall when the machine was installed. The aim is to reuse cigarette vending machines and promote community cooperation.
MAKUHARI Beach
Beach clean-up activities
MAKUHARI

As part of our efforts towards the SDGs, we are participating as a facility in beach clean-up activities at MAKUHARI Beach organized by the Aqua Dream Project. We are carrying out clean-up activities at MAKUHARI Beach and working to protect the marine environment.
DBJ Green Building Certification
SENDAI PORT

The DBJ Green Building Certification, established by the Development Bank of Japan Inc., recognized the building's consideration for the surrounding environment and community, disaster prevention and crime prevention measures, and comfort for tenants, and was certified in 2023 as a building with "extremely excellent consideration for the environment and society."
Community Health Check

A health checkup was conducted for residents living near MITSUI OUTLET PARK SENDAI PORT in the Community Room on Monday, December 9th and Tuesday, December 10th, 2024. A total of 169 people participated over the two days.
