Meets GEIBUN 43rd Special Exhibition: LIFESTYLE PRODUCT Exhibition vol.5

  • Updated 08/04 | Events, Exhibitions, Events
The 43rd "Meets GEIBUN" exhibition is "LIFESTYLE PRODUCT Exhibition vol. 5".

This exhibition showcases the results of the "Design Development (Product Design Practice)" regional collaboration course for third-year design students at the Faculty of Arts and Culture (GEIBUN) of Toyama University.
With the aim of improving design development capabilities, we will collaborate with Toyama Prefecture and local companies to cultivate realistic design skills, production skills, and social impact capabilities, and learn comprehensive product design that includes social evaluation.
This design challenge is to upcycle the "SUZUKNIT Collection."
"SUZUKNIT Collection," developed by Suzuknit Co., Ltd., is a series of knitted blankets that beautifully depict the stunning scenery of Toyama using approximately 400,000 stitches.
We will explore the possibilities of upcycling by utilizing the various scraps generated during the manufacturing process of this product.
Design is directly connected to our lives.
One of the roles of product design is to give tangible form to everyday life.
Here you'll find a familiar yet new form of knitwear for the future.
