Meets GEIBUN 42nd Special Exhibition PROPOSAL Exhibition case #11

  • Updated 07/04 | Events, Exhibitions, Events
The 42nd "Meets GEIBUN" exhibition is PROPOSAL exhibition case #11, a proposal for "wooden toys" that explore the "joyful feel".

The "Design Fundamentals (Craft Design Workshop)" course, offered to second-year design students at the Faculty of Arts and Culture (GEIBUN) of Toyama University, aims to improve fundamental design skills by cultivating design abilities, production skills, and social application skills, and provides a comprehensive learning experience in craft design that includes social evaluation.
In "Design Fundamentals (Craft Design Workshop)," in addition to learning about materials and techniques, the task is to create a "wooden toy" based on an awareness of "fun textures."

The appeal of design lies in transforming "experiences" into "objects."
As a first step towards that goal, try to find the "feel that is characteristic of Geibun" in the manufacturing challenges you have tackled.
