| Brand Concept | To protect ducks around the world, whose feathers are continually exploited, we use our proprietary high-performance material, PLUMTECH®, as the filling instead of real down. PLUMTECH® is as light as real down, yet offers excellent warmth, breathability, and quick-drying properties. In May 2019, vegan climber Kuntal Joisher successfully summited Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain, wearing a SAVE THE DUCK mountain suit (not for sale). He became the first climber to successfully summit Everest without animal-based winter clothing. In January 2021, Mingma Tenzi Sherpa, wearing a SAVE THE DUCK mountain suit (not for sale), became the world's first climber to successfully summit K2, considered even more difficult than Everest, in winter. Thanks to these achievements, SAVE THE DUCK 's high functionality has been proven to be effective even in the harshest environments on Earth. Furthermore, since becoming the first Italian apparel company to receive B Corporation certification in 2019 (earning a score of 95 points), the company has been actively increasing the proportion of recycled fabrics used and expanding its use of renewable energy. In July 2023, the company renewed its B Corporation certification, achieving a score of 108.4 points. This makes SAVE THE DUCK the apparel company in Italy that has received the highest B Corporation rating, and the number one brand in the outerwear sector not only in the EU but worldwide (as of July 12, 2023). |
