SEIKO will serve as the official timer for the Tokyo 2025 IAAF World Championships (organized by World Athletics, hereafter WA), which will be held at the National Stadium (10-1 Kasumigaoka-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) for nine days from Saturday, September 13th to Sunday, September 21st, 2025. This marks the 19th consecutive time since the second IAAF World Championships in Rome (1987).
　
The tournament will introduce cutting-edge technology and new equipment for the short-distance events, using AI to track the movements of each runner during the race and measure and display performance data such as lap times and speed in real time. Additionally, various events will be held around Ginza and Meiji Jingu Gaien where people can experience the brand concept, "A TRUE MOMENT." The history of challenges and the culmination of the technology we have built up to now will be shared with the world from the special stage of Tokyo, and together with the athletes, we will support the "value of the moment" that cannot be expressed in numbers alone.
