In order to fit over 80 parts into the limited space of 1.00mm, we completely rethought the structure and processing of the parts.

The movement structure, which incorporates CITIZEN signature ingenuity throughout, such as one part performing two functions, completely overturns the accepted wisdom of watchmaking, resulting in an astonishing form.

The dial is made of sapphire glass, which combines strength with delicate beauty.

While it is common to use sapphire with a certain thickness, CITIZEN 's extensive processing know-how led to a unique approach to the problem of using thin sapphire, achieving a thickness of just 150 microns (0.15 mm).

It can also be incorporated directly into the movement, contributing to even thinner designs.

In addition, the surface of the case is treated with CITIZEN 's surface hardening technology, Duratect α, which provides a surface hardness equivalent to that of sapphire glass and protects the watch from scratches.
