The Chiyonotoboshi (Thousand Night Lanterns) depicts this scene on its dial.

Gold powder is sprinkled on top of the lacquer, shells are attached, and then black lacquer is applied on top of that and it is then finely polished.

This mechanical model is equipped with a mechanical movement from the Swiss company La Joux-Perret SA. The see-through case back allows you to enjoy the precise movement that only a Swiss-made mechanical movement can provide.

The beautiful dome-shaped sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating is hand-finished by artisans at a small factory in Adachi Ward, Tokyo.

The dial is hand-finished by lacquer artisans in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, and takes approximately three months to complete.
