Photochromic lenses to combat glare while driving!

The eyewear brand Zoff will begin selling "visible light-chroming lenses," which react to both ultraviolet light and visible light, and change color even in a car during the day, at Zoff stores nationwide from July 4th, 2025 (Zoff).
 
Conventional photochromic lenses change color in response to the amount of ultraviolet light, but the newly introduced visible light photochromic lenses react to both ultraviolet and visible light. Therefore, they naturally change color according to the brightness, not only outdoors but also in cars during the day, reducing glare. They are particularly effective in situations where glare is easily felt, such as inside cars or near windows during the day when ultraviolet light does not reach.

Because it supports "gradient coloring" that changes gradually depending on the intensity of light, it is suitable for the following usage scenarios:
• In a car where strong light shines through the windshield, the lenses will naturally color themselves so as not to obstruct your view, even in tunnels.
• In daytime office or cafe windows, it provides a subtle tint and protects your eyes with natural tones.

This allows for glare reduction that adapts to the changing light environment in your daily life, rather than the traditional "outdoor or indoor" dichotomy. Furthermore, this product blocks 99% of ultraviolet rays, making it ideal not only for glare reduction but also for UV protection.
