The dial depicts the nighttime surface of Lake Suwa, located near the "Shinshu Time Craftsman Workshop" within SEIKO Epson's Shiojiri Plant, the manufacturing base for Grand SEIKO 's Spring Drive watches.
The movement used is the Spring Drive UFA "Caliber 9RB2".
It achieves an unprecedented level of precision with an annual deviation of ±20 seconds, and ensures a power reserve of approximately 72 hours (about 3 days) when fully wound.
The case and bracelet are made of bright titanium, which offers a brighter color and superior scratch resistance compared to regular titanium.
The dial, characterized by its three-dimensional shading, was inspired by the surface of Lake Suwa, located southeast of SEIKO Epson Shiojiri Plant's "Shinshu Time Craftsman Workshop," where the watches are manufactured.
The warm black gradient, combined with a radial pattern, delicately depicts the gently rippling surface of a lake at night and the soft reflection of moonlight.
Combined with the smooth movement of the second hand, which is characteristic of Spring Drive watches, it evokes the feeling of time passing in the stillness of a lakeside.
The case and bracelet utilize Bright Titanium, which possesses the extremely high corrosion resistance inherent in titanium, while also achieving a brighter color and superior scratch resistance compared to regular titanium.
Made from titanium, a material with high biocompatibility, it is less likely to cause metal allergies, while also being approximately 30% lighter than stainless steel. It combines the beauty of polishing with a lightweight and comfortable fit.
The clasp features a fine-tuning mechanism that allows for a total of 6mm of adjustment through three SLY adjustments in 2mm increments.
