The dial features delicate stamped patterns and coloring, representing the tranquil birch forests that grow in clusters during the harsh winter months near the "Shinshu Time Craftsman Workshop" within SEIKO Epson's Shiojiri Plant, the manufacturing base for Grand SEIKO 's Spring Drive watches.
The movement used is the Spring Drive UFA "Caliber 9RB2".
It achieves an unprecedented level of precision with an annual deviation of ±20 seconds, and ensures a power reserve of approximately 72 hours (about 3 days) when fully wound.
The case and bracelet are made of Everbrilliant Steel, which shines whiter than regular stainless steel and has extremely high corrosion resistance.
The dial depicts the magnificent birch forest, imbued with the crisp air of the Yachiho Plateau.
Everbrilliant Steel, a stainless steel material with the world's highest level of corrosion resistance, is a material that surpasses the corrosion resistance of stainless steel materials commonly used in high-end watches, while also possessing a beautiful white luster.
Traditionally, this material has been used for harsh environments such as marine structures and equipment exposed to chloride-containing environments in chemical and food processing plants, making it difficult to meet the quality requirements for jewelry like watches.
