This piece uses gold to represent the brilliant achievements of Taro Hattori, the founder of SEIKO who laid the foundation for Japanese-made watches.
The dial is intricately embossed to resemble the engravings of the time, inspired by the anecdote of Kintaro Hattori, who was always one step ahead of his time and who, together with Tsuruhiko Yoshikawa, who later became the chief engineer of Taro, is said to have said, "If Hattori Watch Shop adds intricate engraving to a watch, it will surely become a popular item."
