Gap exists to create more sustainable change, enrich our communities, and do better for current and future generations. Our goal is to make the clothes you wear, from water to washing, from fibers to factories, with responsibility and respect for the planet we all share. Sustainability is a journey where we are constantly facing room for improvement. We are committed to always leading the way, not reacting after something happens. Gap is addressing the issue of water usage through its Washwell™ program, which uses more than 20% less water than traditional washing methods. We have set a goal to use this technology on all of our eligible denim and woven bottoms by 2025, and we are 98% there. We are also 33% there toward our goal of using 50% recycled polyester.

We are also working to promote women's participation in the workforce within the company, setting a diversity goal of increasing the proportion of female leaders to 50% by 2025, and working hard to create a work environment where everyone can work comfortably.
