Let's all celebrate! Shippei Thanksgiving Festival 2026 is being held!

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the city's incorporation, we will be holding a character event, inviting 15 popular characters from within and outside the prefecture, including Shimanekko-chan from Shimane Prefecture, who has visited Iwata City in the past, and Gunma-chan from Gunma Prefecture, who became friends with us at the event.

[Stage Event]
●Time: 10:00-16:00 *Opening: 10:30, Ending: 15:20-16:00
●Contents This year, 16 characters including Shippei will liven up the stage, including Shimanekko (Shimane Prefecture), with whom we have a friendship agreement, and Gunma-chan (Gunma Prefecture), who will be participating for the first time.
In addition to the various PR stages, there will be three fun stages, including a panel talk about Iwata's favorite idols called "Which is everyone's favorite?", a "Dance Stage", and a "Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament" where you can win a Kawai Musical Instruments Shippei Mini Piano.
Additionally, the ending will feature a special live performance by the king of character songs, Ishida Yosuke.
*The songs to be performed include "Tsunaideku ~LOCAL JAPAN Local Character Theme Song," which was performed at the Osaka Kansai Expo.
[Iwata-City communication Center Event]
●Time: 10:00-16:30
●Contents: Those who purchase character goods on the 18th (Sun) will be entered into a raffle to win a pre-event unique to Iwata City.
In addition, inside the information center, there are photo spots where visitors can take photos and characters from all over the country.
Congratulatory messages from will be broadcast on signage.
