SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

10/30 (Wed) Enjoy Halloween with picture books!

Autumn has come quickly and it's become a comfortable season.
On this day, the day before Halloween, the Treehouse held an event called "Let's Enjoy Halloween with Picture Books!"
Children from 0 to 5 years old gathered and participated while relaxing with their mothers!
Here are some glimpses from the event!

Our lecturers were members of "Ehon no Mori" (Ehon no Mori Picture Book Forest)!
Led by Minako, friends who love reading to children gathered together to read picture books and experience hand-playing.

First, start with playing with your hands.
We had fun clapping our hands and making different shapes while singing the Rock-Paper-Scissors song!

It's great fun to see the children and teachers communicating with each other.

The first picture book is "Purin-chan's Halloween."
Pudding-chan from Candy Land dresses up as ghosts with her friends Donut-kun and Marshmallow-chan.
But, oh my…?
The children's favorite snacks are depicted in cute designs.

When they find their favorite sweets, they happily touch the picture book!
The instructor will also respond with a cheerful smile.

After finishing the first book, get your body moving by playing hand games.
This time, we played hand games while singing "Donguri Koro-chan"!

The children jump up and down in excitement, shouting "It's high and it's high!" as the instructor moves the stuffed toy in his hand, all the while smiling broadly.

The second book is "It's about time."
He sneaks up and shouts "Whoa!" in a heartwarming, mischievous playful mannerism played by small children.
A small child's attack for attention. Anyone who has had a similar experience will burst out laughing.

The third book is "Ghost Forest."
This is a reading of a picture story.
The children seemed very interested in this unusual experience that was a little different from picture books!
After the Kamishibai, we played hand games to the song "Tonton Kobu Jisan" ♪

The fourth book is "Pete the Cat."
Pete the cat encourages you with his light-hearted rhythm and positive words.
Everyone can participate in the conversation, so it's a lot of fun!

Finally, there is a picture book that you can play with your hands: "The Tanuki of Genkotsu Mountain"
We ended with the song "Goodbye Ankoromochi"!
The first 15 people to arrive at each session were given a cute Halloween stick handmade by Minako, a lecturer at the Japan Origami Association.

We are planning to hold another reading event, so we look forward to your participation!
Have a wonderful time reading picture books with your children and grandchildren!
