SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

12/2 (Sun) Let's make Christmas candles!

It's already December and we're in the Christmas mood.
We also had the opportunity to experience making Christmas candles at the treehouse, which is perfect for this time of year!
This time, you can choose from three types of characters: a reindeer, a Santa Claus, or a snowman.

Our guest was Mr. Fukuoka, a certified instructor of the Japan Candle Association!
Last year, he also taught us how to make Halloween candles.

First, choose the base.
The round, egg-like shape is already very cute.

Once you've finished selecting the surface, you'll apply a soft wax called Microsoft.
There are so many colors and you can make any shape you want, so it's exciting to think about what kind of candle you want to make.
Because the base is simple, some people make candles that are not Christmas themed. The high degree of freedom is also one of the attractions.

It was like playing with clay and I enjoyed it.
Parents and children can be seen working together to make things, saying things like, "Wouldn't it be cute if we did it like this?"

Once you've finished shaping your piece, your teacher will place it in heated wax and coat it.
When the participants saw the finished product, which had a glossy finish and looked more like a candle, they heard them exclaim, "Wow!"

Let it dry a bit and it's done!

Each piece has a different expression, which is wonderful.
Decorate your own candles and have a merry Christmas!
