SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT

11/4 (Sun) Make a winter dream catcher

We held an event to make dream catchers, which protect sleeping children from nightmares!
The talisman transports good dreams through the center of the mesh to the sleeper, while bad dreams remain caught in the mesh and disappear with the dawn.
It is also becoming increasingly popular as a bohemian style interior.

The lecturer for the event was Yumi Takahashi, a teacher active in the Shonan area.
We will introduce some of the scenes from the event and the works of the participants.

Each participant is provided with a hoop wrapped in three colors of yarn: red, white, and blue. First, participants are asked to knit from the outside of the hoop toward the center using the same three colors of yarn.
The difficulty levels vary from pentagrams, hexagrams, to octagrams, and the difficulty increases as the number of points on the star increases...!
It seemed a little difficult for those new to knitting.

Although everyone struggled, they were able to create beautiful star shapes.

Next, cut the yarn to the same length and tie it to the bottom of the loop.
It instantly gives off a bohemian vibe!

Once the knitting is done, the long-awaited part comes: adding the final decoration with cute parts!
There is a wide variety of authentic parts, so you can create an original look.

Use scissors to adjust the length and size of the parts you have chosen, then glue them together with glue.
Gluebond is used in a variety of crafts, and is a convenient adhesive that melts with heat and bonds immediately after cooling.
It gets very hot while melting, so be careful not to burn yourself!

Once the decorations are done...

Your original dream catcher is complete!
I hope you'll have lots of sweet dreams by displaying this cute and stylish charm☆

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this report!
