SHONAN TREE HOUSE EVENT REPORT
8/15 (Sat) Food Sample Class: Let's Make Shaved Ice!
Perfect for summer! Looks just like the real thing!
We held a cool shaved ice food sample making event!
The food sample making class is always extremely popular and it is said to be difficult to get a reservation for.
This time too, the event was so popular that it was fully booked immediately after reservations began!
We will report on this wonderful and valuable event!
The instructor for the food sample class is this person!
Tommy Sensei from Food Replica Studio Apple Candy visited us!
First, choose the base cup and the color of the dendrobium flowers you will use for decoration.
The cups were available in both colorful and solid colors.
The flowers were available in four colors: pink, blue, green, and white.
Two sheets of transparent bubble wrap, a common packing material, are provided.
Roll one piece of bubble wrap into a ball and use the other piece to wrap the rolled up bubble wrap to create the shape of a teru teru bozu.
Next, the bubble wrap shaped like a Teru Teru Bouzu is attached to the cup using a special adhesive.
Use chopsticks to make minor adjustments, and your base will be complete in no time!
Then, cover the surface generously with the adhesive you used.
Stretch it out with chopsticks and stick it down to create horns.
Once I'm happy with the shape, I start coloring it.
At this point it just looks like ice…!
Do the same with the coloring, using chopsticks to stretch it out and create horns.
The colorants come in three colors: pink, yellow, and blue, and each one blends equally well with the ice.
At this time, some people mix adjacent colors to create a beautiful gradation!
From here, we sprinkle some magic powder made by Tommy Sensei on top...
It's like freshly shaved ice!!
Finally, decorate with Dendrobium flowers...
It's like the real thing! You'll want to touch it.
Your Hawaiian shave ice is complete!
Even the ice stuck to the cup looks so realistic!
Bonus♪
The venue was decorated with a giant shaved ice specially made by Teacher Tommy!
I wonder how many servings it is...?
Everyone was happy to take commemorative photos.
Tommy Sensei's food sample class captivates everyone from children to adults
Please look forward to the next announcement!
