"You and Paper: A Story of Functional Paper" Traveling Exhibition
TAKEO Yodoyabashi MIHONCHO will be hosting the traveling exhibition "You and Paper: A Story of Functional Paper" from April 10th (Fri) to June 7th (Sun), 2026.
Paper can be categorized into "functional papers," which are papers that have been given added functionality to suit various environments and special applications.
Functional paper is hidden everywhere in our daily lives. Flower bouquets are wrapped in water-resistant paper. Fluorescent lights contain insulating paper that doesn't conduct electricity. Even the bottom of steamed buns is made of paper that is release-resistant and heat-resistant.
This exhibition depicts a life involving "me," "you," and "god" through novels and photographs.
I hope that through this "paper novel" (not a personal novel), readers will discover the presence of functional paper behind everyday life and ordinary conversations.
