Upcycling is a system that has become commonplace today.
Taking something that is no longer in use and giving it a new form.
HELLY HANSEN offers a wide range of new items created from upcycled materials, including T-shirts, jackets, and even items that can be used for activities like frisbees.
We will be holding an event where you can easily experience the process of upcycling and create your own original carabiner design by HH.
The caps will be upcycled using actual used plastic bottle caps from within LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza.

Returnable boxes introduced for product delivery to directly managed stores

DHC operates 95 directly managed stores*1 nationwide. Previously, cardboard boxes were used for delivering products to these stores, but from August 2024, they have switched to returnable boxes (Ecobiz boxes).
The returnable boxes can be reused 200 times, eliminating the hassle of disposal and reducing CO2 emissions by 33.68 tons per year.
Furthermore, by reusing the 2,000 units introduced this time, it is expected that emissions will be reduced by 160 tons*3 over approximately five years*2.

In consideration of the global environment, we have switched from petroleum-derived polyethylene Shops bags to recycled polyethylene and paper Shops bags.

*The paper Shops bag is made from recycled paper with a 30% recycled pulp content and is printed with plant-derived "botanical ink," which is highly effective in reducing CO2 emissions.
*Assuming annual usage by more than 30 million people, this will result in a reduction of approximately 423 tons of CO2 emissions.
