Hello! We are Form-i, a specialty shop for clothing and bag repairs.

One of the special features of denim hemming is the chain stitch finish.

This stitching method has a chain-like pattern on the reverse side. When washed, the thread shrinks, causing the seams to tighten. The difference in shrinkage between the thread and the fabric creates a twisting effect known as puckering.

The puckering created by washing results in an uneven texture. Because the raised areas are prone to friction, white areas called "fading" appear. These fading marks give the jeans a unique, well-worn look. Recommended for those who enjoy the changes that occur as they wear their jeans!

We offer hemming services using a chain stitch sewing machine!

When having your pants hemmed, please tell our staff, "Please finish with a chain stitch." (*Same-day/next-day service is not available.)

Additionally, when you request a finish that preserves the texture of the hem (hem-preserving/distressed finish), we can also use a chain stitch finish. Please feel free to ask our staff if you would like this option.

At our shop, we offer alteration services for your own clothes, as well as clothes purchased from other shopping malls, online retailers, secondhand shops, and flea market apps.
