KUBARAHONKE Group is a comprehensive food manufacturer with origins in a soy sauce brewery founded in 1893. The group operates brands such as "Shobouan," a brand that values the creation of flavors that are unique to Hakata, "KAYANOYA," a seasoning and food brand that uses no added chemical seasonings or preservatives, "Kubara," the ago dashi series that makes use of the umami flavor of flying fish dashi, and the Umatare series, "KAYANOYA Kojigura," which proposes deliciousness and health through the power of koji, and "Hokkaido Eye," which promotes Hokkaido ingredients and food culture.
The newly opened "KUBARAHONKE LaLaport FUKUOKA Store" is based on the concept of "creating family bonds and memories" as a place to connect the food culture of Japan and Kyushu to the future. In addition to retail sales, it will also have an event space called "Kuba Lab" where families can participate in events where everyone, from adults to children, can enjoy a variety of food cultures together.
The store floor space is the largest among all directly managed stores nationwide operated by KUBARAHONKE Group, and will sell products from all brands, including "Shobouan," "KAYANOYA," "Kubara," and "Hokkaido Eye."
The event space "Kuba Lab" will host a variety of food-related events, including dashi classes for adults, miso-making experiences that parents and children can enjoy together, and furikake classes. There will also be sales events for Kuba Lab-exclusive products, and a food truck selling take-out food in the outdoor space.
